turning two with dignity...

Georgia had a great birthday - made especially enjoyable because of a trip down to Whakatane, frolics on Ohope Beach and of course, Nana Christine and the Matamata whanau. Opening presents with Rose took care and concentration...

.....and went on into the night..

Notice the beautiful "Horse Cake" in the foreground, fake grass courtesy of a ground-up peppermint Aero bar.

But before the cake could be attacked, Georgia discovered another present.....stickers...

When she finally got to the cake, Georgia decided to offer teddy a slice or two.

....meanwhile, someone else wondered quietly, "so when's my birthday??"

But who needs a birthday when you get so much attention from two of your favourite rellies....

The weather turned a bit windy the day we headed back home but Georgia raised a half-smile the next morning, despite her horsecake hangover.

Back in Auckland, Georgia set about being creative with her stickers...

And just to show every day can be birthday-like, off to look for a few puddles to wade through.

And best of all, Georgia got reacquainted with her buddies at the Ferry Wharf Cafe, Alessandro and Sandra..and marshmallows.

Ah....life is good when you're two years old and full of marshmallow

Where has the time gone?? Nana Daphne was here in August and September to help control G and J, many thanks for all the hard work and chasing around. Joe, it seems, is practising hypnotisng spiders...

We keep trying for cheerful family pictures and sometimes we get close...

... but it's not easy when Georgia decides to pull her latest Face.

Experts are baffled by the following picture, claiming it must be a fake...

Yes, for brief moments Georgia and Joe enjoy being together. Then
there's the rest of the time. No one could hear exactly what Georgia was saying to
Joe....

.....but clearly it wasn't good...

Still, both Joe and Georgia enjoyed another visit from the Matamata Robsons, a
chance to get reacquainted with cousins, Uncle Angus and Aunt Liz.

So thanks to everyone, family and friends who are helping us through baby madness. And congratulations to Joe for signing up a sponsor for this blog. Here he heartily endorses the product....
